What You'll Do in This Technician Role
HVAC technicians keep buildings comfortable and productive.
At TrueServ Mechanical, that means you will:
- Diagnose performance issues by reading pressures, temperatures, and controls, then identify the true root cause
- Restore safe operation by repairing electrical faults, failed components, or airflow problems
- Improve efficiency by cleaning coils, correcting charge and airflow, and tuning controls
- Commission new systems so equipment is installed to spec and ready for reliable service
- Advise facility managers on practical next steps, replacement timing, and maintenance schedules
The Difference Between HVAC and HVACR Work?
The difference is in the “R”: Refrigeration.
• HVAC technicians work on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• HVACR technicians do all of the above and also service refrigeration equipment like walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and supermarket cases.
At TrueServ Mechanical, many team members are cross-trained in both. This helps us support clients who rely on comfort cooling and cold storage.
