Project Overview

Condensate Management Upgrades for 56 Commercial HVAC Units

Proper condensate management helps protect commercial facilities from water damage caused by drainage problems, overflowing drain pans, and equipment malfunctions.

For this project, TrueServ Mechanical addressed multiple components of the existing drainage systems. Technicians improved condensate-pump positioning, corrected drain-line routing, reinforced auxiliary drain-pan supports, and integrated overflow-safety controls.

The work required careful coordination around existing equipment and ceiling spaces, including concealed fan-coil installations in kitchen and conference room areas.

Upon completion, each unit was individually inspected and documented as part of TrueServ’s quality-control process.

Project Highlights

TrueServ Mechanical completed the following condensate-management improvements:

Condensate pump properly mounted outside the auxiliary drain pan.
Conference Room: Condensate pump mounted outside auxiliary drain pan
  • Relocated condensate pumps from inside auxiliary drain pans.

  • Rerouted fan-coil drain lines.

  • Rerouted and secured condensate-pump discharge hoses.

  • Wired drain-pan overflow switches and internal pump overflow switches in series.

  • Installed rigid drain-pan supports and established proper slope toward overflow switches.

  • Insulated condensate piping with 1-inch-wall elastomeric insulation.

  • Replaced and dated final air filters supplied by the mechanical contractor.

  • Cleaned slope-related debris from work areas.

  • Inspected and documented all 56 fan-coil units at completion.
